Our owner and founder, Kimberly George – “The Chic Geek” has spent years in the field of Information Technology.  She has worked for several major corporations that include Cisco Systems, and AT&T.  Ms. George has both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Computer Science, and possesses several industry Certifications, including the CCVP, Cisco Certified Voice Professional CCNA, Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification  and the ITIL Information Technology Infrastructure Library Certification. .

Kimberly started Lab-Ratz Technical Solutions with the intent of delivering quality services and support with a fun and passionate enthusiasm to small businesses.

The Story Behind the Business Name – “Lab-Ratz”

It’s pretty funny how the name came about. When I started brainstorming for ideas for our business name, the term and image of a “lab-rat” just continued to stay in my head. It wasn’t the image of a lab-rat who is used for testing purposes (heck – who wants to view themselves that way) but rather one of an individual who is constantly doing research and working in a laboratory — trying to come up with solutions to problems.

As a small business owner and technology professional, I began to view and use the term “Lab-Rat” as a metaphor for myself.  I am an individual who has spent many years in the IT industry studying, living and breathing technology– to continue to stay on top of the latest and greatest developments in this arena. This is how I got the idea for the business name–Lab-Ratz Technical Solutions.

As a member of the Lab-Ratz team the name truly embodies who we are and what we do. We are a team of IT professionals who are constantly working to deliver quality services and solutions to our customers in an industry that is driven by constant technological change.
